Conscious Instructional Leadership Fellowship

If there’s anything we have learned from the response of school systems during the pandemic it is that while not perfect, educational systems by and large are able to quickly adapt to radically changing circumstances. This is a period of innovation where educational practitioners and researchers need to be working to address long-standing conditions of inequity that are both built and sustained through common educational practices and decisions. We see this task as an ethical imperative and not a strategic choice in the wake of racial uprisings. We must interrogate our vision for teaching and learning, pedagogical standards, definitions of achievement, goals of curriculum design, culture systems and a host of other elements of schooling through a lens of ethical decision-making. We partner with practitioners to equip them with the habits of mind and skills needed to craft bold new visions of ethical education and implement the strategies, goals and tactics needed to bring their vision to life.

Next cohort begins in March of 2025.

Coaching for Evolution

Too often employees rely on their managers to also serve as coaches. The “manager as a coach” model is inherently flawed in that a manager can never fully separate her personal professional interests from the interests of those she leads. Coaching is one of the greatest tools we can use to unlock our greatest potential and it is best done with someone who has a healthy distance from the outcomes of our organizations. Let us create a safe space and sacred time for you to reflect and reimagine what is possible through coaching.

Team Formation & Elevation

The research is clear that the team people work with often matters more than the company they work for. Grouping people with similar titles and functions, who work in the same department and have the same manager does not make them a team. Teams are driven by shared vision, shared agreements and a set of tools that allow them to continuously build and sustain trust and produce collective results. Whether it is forming a brand new team or helping an existing team take their functionality to the next level, let us partner with you to navigate this incredibly rewarding but highly complicated effort.

Engineering Equity

Any company can hire a Chief Diversity or Equity Officer and put the term ‘diversity’ in large, bold letters in their public facing core values and still fail to build an equitable environment. The critical work of achieving equity requires a thoughtful and methodical approach to identifying and dismantling barriers to equity for all stakeholders. Let us have your back in asking the hard questions that unearth uncomfortable truths that can drive clear actions to achieve equity that is real and not simply aspirational.
