Conscious Instructional Leadership Fellowship

If we are to make quality education a basic right for every child, we must ensure educational practitioners have the tools needed to navigate ethical dilemmas and drive equitable outcomes.

Seminar Overview

Interrogate Assumptions

Wrestle with questions regarding the roles of education and the teacher through guided inquiry. Explore issues of equity in how we define educational achievement and excellence. Develop a greater awareness of the short and long-term implications of decisions by evaluating the experience of stakeholders and pull from diverse approaches to teaching and learning.

Master the Art of Coaching

Internalize standards for coaching and shift from managing. Learn to establish rapport, trust and credibility in service of investing others in a shared vision of ethical practices and standards. Increase your ability to precisely identify gaps in instructional practices and design the roadmap for addressing them head on.

Develop Vision & Ethical Framework

Examine common dilemmas in instructional leadership through an ethical lens. Internalize and apply frameworks for considering the implications of decisions and incongruence between vision and practice. Increase your internal clarity around your standards and strengthen your ability to communicate complex decisions and ideas to diverse groups.

Ethically Lead Adults & Children

Build systems and routines that fuel and sustain belonging, psychological safety and the development of children and adults as people in your care as a leader. Design the conditions for ongoing learning and increased implementation of practices that lead to greater equitable outcomes.
